    I agree that the GL should become a unique weapon, I never played NS1 so I don't know how it worked in that game, but from the standpoint of NS2 -- it's an odd weapon. It's the only weapon that is a two-in-one both for short-medium range combat AND structural demolition. All other weapons have a single intended use.
