Where is my Black Armour?

<div class="IPBDescription">My marine armouor isn't black.</div>I bought the Special Edition version of NS2 and I have just realised that my armour is not black. It was black before (I think) but today I noticed that it isn't.

Though personally I havent noticed this myself - did you check you still have the DLC content through steam?

Did you use the 3rd person command and see it wasn't black?

Or are you just looking at the armor on your arm? UWE said they have not made the model yet for the black armor in the first person perspective. Meaning you will see other marines wearing the black armor but your armor on your arm will appear green.

I was looking in the 3rd person command. People also said that I was green as well.

I still have the DLC of the black armour and it says "Retail"



Edit: I just tried again and my black armour seems to be back...
Why was it gone and why was it green on the server?

I should point out that the black-armor perk is defined from the Lua-script, and therefor subject to any kind of modification a server-operator might feel like, so not having it on a particular server doesn't have to mean you don't own the DLC. Always try it on a listen-server.

Didn't realize it was a server-side option. Is it specific to the black armor or just a general command like no customized content?

server operator changes the scripts of his install to make all marine armor pink instead, your armor will be pink.
if operator changes scripts to have you throw pokeballs instead of shooting bullets, you try to catch em all.

that's the problem with lua and free editability (i dont even) by the op.

Party hat server firing pink hearts anyone?

That's actually pretty awesome. I can see a lot of cool servermods coming from this. However, UWE will really need to upgrade their server browser so people can distinguish between vanilla and modded servers.

Just to note, the server I was on had another person that had the black armour.

I have it on two computers, one with BA and one without. In lAN standing face to face in rr it's easy to see the difference.

I like it...it is the eternal gratitude.
It's not so different that you don't look like one of the crew but it is.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling?
Better yet has anyone tried that before? I haven't
I just remember it as a good fallback from steam.
