Triple Fire Bonus ftw? Just not the same game, and the comic book like characters are annoying after the first 3 minutes.
Really? I find the unabashed stereotypes charming and refreshing. The colourful world, too. A beautiful contrast to a games industry that seems to focus on brown and grey.

I still laugh every time I hear 'e-sport'.

That is quite honestly my favorite game ever. I used to waste SOOOO much time playing it

I mean real sports at least keep you fit, they have other applications, and they also make you famous, real sport superstars make millions and have their own lines of aftershave. They are also attractive, and the sports are cinematic.
Spending your life learning to play starcraft really well is a bit... sad? In comparison at least. I find it hard to reconcile paragons of manliness like football or rugby players with pasty nerds typing on keyboards and calling it e-sport.
It's like organising a chess tournament and calling it 'table sport' and having painfully overenthusiastic commentators do live streaming video of it.
It's not cool guys, you can't make it cool.
You need to watch The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters. You will wet your pants! XD
Warsoup talks up the RTS/FPS side but what you're essentially talking about is an army made up of 2 units. They're right in saying that 'Starcraft is the macro' and 'Halo is the micro', because there's no RTS micro in the game at all. Okay, that's not true but your micro is basically 'shall I build a turret, or a resource collector, or get an upgrade'. It doesn't look like there's any real base building at all. So, like NS, the FPS part better be incredible or nobody's going to care that you're blending genres.

My point exactly :P
Warcandy seems to be missing something though... What do you call it... Umph in the graphic department. Currently it kinda looks like Tron meets arctic scenery...
That is if this is the graphical look they are going for...

To be honest any fps is a rts/fps hybrid (its real time, and you have to use atleast a little strategy to be good at it).

Also, if this game turns out to be terrible, people are totally going to call it "Warpoop".
And I must say, tf2 has way more cartoonish graphics than warpillow.
