How long does the extra key before it expires?

Wondering if I can hold onto it. Don't have anyone to give or sell it to so I want to know how long I can keep it handy.

You can hold it for as long as you want. If you want to use it now, use it now, if in two years, use it in two years.
It's not a special key or something, it's a regular cd key.
