Absolutely horrible settings:

Lol I can't imagine how crazy the fps would be during actual gameplay. If I may say this game looks a lot more demanding than what the requirements posted @_@. Looking at the requirements stated:
<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->1.2 GHz Processor, 256MB RAM, a DirectX 9 level graphics card, Windows Vista/2000/XP, mouse, keyboard and an internet connection.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
It should probably be around -> 2.8 GHz Processor, 1 GB RAM, and ______ or better video card.

i can run bc2 on max with 40fps consistant on my hd5770 (great card btw), ns2 should have better frames. the engine is nice but not quite optimized yet.
There are probably a lot of driver/vendor-specific inconsistencies happening right now. I'm sure they'll be resolved in time; that's really the point of the engine test.
All that said, the human eye doesn't notice much of an improvement past 60 FPS. After 120 it's literally physically impossible to detect a difference. If you're getting ~60, the game plays fine. Any choppiness you notice past that point is just hypochondria.

On average I would say it was around 65-85, however in some areas where the view included more detailed/larger rooms in the maps, it would drop to as low as the 40s.
Running it at full detail @ 2048x1152, Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate.
I have to agree with the general sentiment here. This is PRE-alpha. Optimizations probably aren't really even in the works at this point and so it's probably safe to assume far greater performance across the board in the retail version.
amd4000+, 7800gtx, 3gbram, 1920x1200 - struggles even on lowest settings (would say 5-10fps).
core2duo something, 8600gt, 4gbram 1680x1050 -struggles on high settings (about 10-20fps)
Didn't expect either of these to handle to very well anyway. Planning on upgrading regardless of how many FPS I got because I want to play on maxed out settings when the final version is released.
As for the lol system requirements posted by UWE - devs always post these ridiculously low settings as "requirements" - meaning whatever is required to install the game and load a map :P If you actually want to PLAY the game best to look at "recommended" specs.
i5 520M
1gb 5730m
4gb DDR3 RAM
Windows 7 64 bit
Running on full detail at 1366 x 768 average FPS was ~40-50, with the lowest drop I saw to 25.
Good stuff UWE!

Only tried on high settings
86-120 FPS
Very stable game and this is the alpha go on guys show EA how its done rub it in there faces muhahaha
(Oh by the way if you minimize and try and go back in it just sits on a black screen but you can shoot ^^)
p.s Dam looking at my fps compared to others it seems to adore my pc *hugs pc case* Good girl
Motherboard: Asus P5K Pro

GFX Card: 8800GTS 512MB
OS: W7 Ultimate x32 stripped of processes useless to gaming
Drivers: Forceware 196.21

High settings:
60-80fps with occasional drops to 50
Medium settings:
60-90fps with occasional drops to 55
50 FPS for most areas, some will give 40, on very rare occasion 30, regardless of settings.
If there's lots of optimisation work still ahead - which, if I remember the design document, there should be next to none at this point - or if there's just some bugs, it could be no biggie. Otherwise I am disappoint.

30-70fps on 1680x1050 windowed mode high detail.
We all have 40/50~ fps with a classic config, with some fps drops sometimes. There's no way the game will be this way fps wise the day it goes out.

man noone still has 256 ram and 1gz processor, everyones got a duo/quad core running at at least 2gz, if they dont, they dnt deserve to play the game imo, i got a quad core Q9300 @ 2.5gz and 4gb ram, 2x 8800gtx, runs fine :D

Runs 30-60 FPS at high settings. The number is good but there's a lot of stuttering and roughness that isn't reflected in it, especially online(which I realize isn't part of the test).

As of right now I get lots of errors, out of video memory, lock ups, crashes, textures not showing, can't see text ingame list goes on and on. COD4 has 10x better graphics if I can get over 60fps on there on highest setting i'm really hoping to get that on this game. As of right now engine test is unplayable.

It's not that demanding, sounds like there's some sort of incompatibility bug going on.

Playing on high settings, 1680x1050
35 lowest, average 45, max approx 70-75
Anybody that played the Beta for battlefield bad company may remember how crap the FPS were for the beta, I averaged about 20-25fps on the public released beta (more advanced production than NS currently is) and as soon as they released the optimization patch, I was getting 70+ average.
Bearing in mind NS is nowhere near as hardware intensive as other modern games - the FPS will keep climbing with upcoming releases!
I would prob expect the final FPS to be something inbetween Half-Life 2 and left 4 dead as a direct comparison.
