I did :P

I didn't like the idea of standing out considerably in every possible environment with glowing black armor... Like i think we can assume their's no entirely black rooms... and if the room was that darkly lit... it wouldn't matter what camouflage you had because the aliens would be using nightvision mode. Besides that, the green armor would "match" up better with the infestation textures. And then how many times do skulks camp while invisible to bite someone on the ass... if they see a "black" player, then they might assume they are a old pro of NS1 and kill them first... seeing them as the most experienced threat.

So ya you guys get black camoflauge and you can do my share of dieing... i'll be wearing my elite ninja green camouflage :P (actually i'll probably have 20 different reskins going to make every interface, marine, structure, and weapon look elite and different from stock models/textures so... ya the green camo seemed the logical spock choice. )

I'm sure you won't be forced to use the special armor. You can if you chose to, but I doubt they'd force you to.

If you don't choose to use it then why pay for it.

In the end will all we see is green players... with the only black players being the ones that like to camp in the shadows of co_core...

Special VIP members chosen by the team themselves will receive the nude armort.
No matter what race you are, you won't be able to fight a naked man rushing towards you with a grenade in his hand.

There's a number floating around, saying that 95% of pre-orders are SE. Don't remember where it comes from - probably a twitter post.

To help support the developers and to get into the alpha would be other good reasons to buy it.

What? i'm doing it now by suggesting a ton of amazingly good ideas and input.. while at the same time answering NS2 questions for people in game that are playing NS1.

Question: "Are we going to get a anti-onos 1 shot 3 kills rocket launcher?"

Answer: "HELL YA!!!!"

How does spreading misinformation help?

Probably not a lot, but it does seem FUN.

Well it seems everyone but me is part of the NS private cult where everyone has very conservative ideas on what NS2 should be... i.e. everyone but me only plays on the alien team constantly and therefore has this idea that NS2 should not be different from NS1 in any way.

So maybe by getting peoples imaginations going with conversations about what NS2 should have... then they can come here and post some unique ideas that go against the stagnant majority which is this forum.

Yes, this is a common problem for a lot of people. Everyone else having the wrong idea, themselves being the only one to see the light. And everyone else lacking the insight to understand that they're the problem.

Yes it must be hard.

This forum is biased. Their are more people that just play NS then come here, and that doesn't mean they don't have ideas about what is missing in NS1 and needs to be in NS2. So it is possible for "everyone else", the minority of the NS community, that just posts here, to be dead wrong.

A NS private cult? It's not because we don't want NS to become a generic shooter with 'realistic' weapons (or whatever bright idea you think you had ) that we are close-minded. It's not that I want to sound rude, but someone who pretends to know the game, while only playing half of it, has no idea what NS was meant to be. So don't come here and say you speak for the unsung majority when what you want is CS in space (with aliens!)

Testing the alpha and giving feedback as to what works and what doesn't work is more helpful than throwing ideas at a development team that already has a laundry list of things to put in the game.
