You have gotta be kidding me.
I have super patience though to explain this stuff so this is how it works. You pre-ordered the special edition. Whichever email you used, you should have received a game key. Once a download mirror comes out for the tools (which happens to be this month), you download those, and it will ask you to put in your game key. Voila, you now have access to the tools. The same will be for the game client when it's available. But before the final build is available, there will be an Alpha and a Beta, which you will have the chance to participate in due to you ordering the special edition.
The reason for the tools coming out first is mainly so you don't have to download a huge install file for the future. I'm going to assume and say that the tools when downloading this month will probably be around a Gig of space. The game client itself will probably be another Gig as well.
So yeah, you should receive an email sometime this month when the tools are available to download, so hold onto that game key as best as you can.

I'm 18, and this is my first time using PayPal. My apologies.

I have not. Not yet, at least; I just bought it this morning.

Alright. I'll just sit patiently for my game key or something.
natural selection is easily one of my favorite games ever. pre-ordered the special edition, but have gotten no e-mail from unknown worlds as of now. I'm sure the hold up is a technicality, I just registered... can't wait for the release going to go hunt estimated dates... I'm thinking the main hold up would be the need for rigging of the graphics?

I bought NS2 because NS1 was my favorite game. I stopped playing when steam comes - my original keys (HL & CS) wasnt accepted by steam. Steam sucks. I hope NS2 will be platformindependent as much as possible. Especially Steam-independend.
Ah - and i bought it because 20 $ of the 40 $ were a birthday present...
And another very important reason: NS1 was programmed for free - and i want to support that.
Well, I just bought the Special Edition. I missed out on the 'golden age' of NS 1, but I respect the quality of mod it was. It definitely deserves a place among Counter Strike, Day of Defeat, and Team Fortress. I'm happy to support a developer who really seems to care about the community.
Just bought the SE because I wanna support this game development=) Personally, this is the game I wanna see have a sequel the most. Only rivaled by StarCraft II =)
"just" bought NS2... purchased it on May 29. Finally found some time to goof around with the spark editor only to realize that I have no clue whatsoever how a 3d Modelling Tool works.
I had to buy NS 2 because I played NS for so many hours.

Ok ok, november 13, or november 30, what the difference? :D
Come on, i cant wait anymore ! GIVE ME FILES !
Thanks for your job, your game, and your alpha version coming soon!!!!
That's not my only reason for pre-ordering of course, though it is a nice bonus.

the second one for me as thank to dev. team for great time with NS1...
can't wait for updates :)
I wanted to keep that spirit of being there from the start, so basically, for sentimental reasons
and I've always held that I'd gladly play Flayra in some meaningful way if the chance came up (Constellation didn't strike me as meaningful, this did)
Mapping tools here I come!
to look the Editor, unfortunatly couldn't find the button "test map level in game" >.<
But its ok.
I just wish to make a level with the knowledge of how the gameplay is.
I grabbed the SE as soon as I saw that the level editor was released. ;)
