I Hope Realy That the NS2 <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hive5.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::hive::" border="0" alt="hive5.gif" /> is realy just stand alone game that can be bought in shops because i realy hate NS1 bcs i cant make it run again bcs my Half-life 1 CD is missing and it wont work whitout H-L1 CD so i dont have any chances to get NS1 to work so i realy need that NS2 will work alone whitout any steam or other games assisting :/

ns2 will be stand alone in that you won't need to buy another game to play it, however you will need steam.

ns2 is a normal retail game.( eccept it will be awesome ) you can buy it on steam and in the stores. when the stores dont have it, so you can order it somewhere by the internet shops (amazone. gameshop.. etc )

its stand alone, you buy it. you own it. nothing is required to play it eccept min. system specs and steam. (which is most likely on the NS2 cd )

im just assuming, i dont have a secure background, so dont count on this. maybe it will just release on steam. and please buy hl2 when you dont have it.

Since they are using a new engine. They wouldn't be able to use anything from half-life 2 or any other mod.
