FPS drop? mouse lag?

Well the thread above, the link with this problem does not load to correct post i think

Anyways my problem is that when i get in a game, everything is fine, but this really bad mouse lag or FPS drop not sure which, i think its mouse lag.

if i press ESC to the menu, tho i can see the game running perfectly, but if i press ESC again the mouse lag or somthin comes back.

I saw the suggested fix, but i dont know how to do that. Someone here kind enough to help?

Try using the net_graph 1 command in the console and join a server to see your fps and keep an eye on it. If it stays stable it is definatly not an fps issue.

Also check in the options menu at the mouse tab, make sure mouse filter is checked off. All I can come up with as it seems you are unsure if it is fps or mouse lag. And since mouse filtering can look like mouse lag, this might be the cause. It is a stupid addition to the game noone ever uses I think <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

As odd as this may sound, try recording a demo when you play, for some reason it fixes the mouse freezing, or at the very least should reduce it.
