Mouse and keyboard lag

Hello,
All of a sudden i have this problem with NS and any HL1 MOD:
After changing PC to a more modern one i expirience mouse and keyboard, how can i put it? lags, lock ups.
For example when typing, turning, firing, the mouse or keyboard would stop working and get
"stuck" for 1-2 seconds. Not much? gets me killed though
I have vertical sync forced off, not wireless equipment, new keyboard (Genius) and mouse (HP) etc
