The new posts button in the top right has been sporadic so far. It was working earlier, but now when I click it, it gives me:

The error returned was:

Sorry, but we did not find any matches to display. Try again and broaden your search criteria. If you were searching for new posts since your last visit, it's possible that there are none to show.

When they are many, many new posts. I tried it using different versions of the forums (/forums, /ns2/forums, etc) and they all have stopped working for me.

I haven't seen this, but I made a change which might affect it. Let me know if it keeps happening.

Unfortunately it does not appear to be fixed. It works if I have only been away from the forums for a short period (a few hours at most). Once past a certain time, when I return it can't find any new posts.

I'd try logging out, clearing your cookies for the domain, and then coming back in.

I'm also in that boat. New post search once turned up two or three new posts back when the new forums had just come online. Never since then have I had any results when searching for new posts.

Considering this is how I read the forums it's a bit of a problem for me.

I've always used this method of checking what's new, no matter if I've been afk an hour or overnight. It has worked flawlessly for me since the recent upgrade.

"Advanced Options / Create a stronghold auto-log in cookie?" enabled?

Sadly just because it is working flawlessly for you does not mean it is for the rest of us. It is something to do with cookies I am sure (since it works on different PC's fine logged into the same account), but clearing cookies and the like has done nothing. I have now seen at least 5 other people having similar problems so it is more than just a setting. Maybe we are all using firefox and there is a bug there, not too sure.

I tried to replicate this from two entirely different IPs using both FF and IE to no avail.

IPS could probably better answer this, but since no one other than the license holder can post there, I'll post this for you. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />

It also depends on the login itself.. I've seen where people are having to re-login and it will reset the 'last visit'.. Stronghold cookie can cause that..
