None. No films that early have ever interested me <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" />

My favorite Marx quote is :
"Last night a woman kept knocking on my door. After several hours, I decided to let her go"
"The day the earth stood still", isn't it the one about this man coming out of a spaceship flying saucer with a robot ?
My favorite Laurel and Hardy scene is when Hardy (the skinny guy) is siting next to a small river, drying his cloaths, then puts tabaco in his hand and making his hand look like a pipe, he puts his thumb in his mouth, takes a match, lights it, and lights up the tabaco in his hand, inhales through his thumb and out of his mouth, smokes gets out !!!
I always prefered Laurent and Hardy over Chaplin. I think these 2 guys were funnier when they first started doing talking movies, after that, it started being less funny. I guess you could say, sound sort of ruined their career.
How about Abott and Costello (hint: "Who`s on first, What`s on second, I don`t know is on third")
Oh and I did see Metropolis old original version and anim version too.
Another old sci-fi which I can't quite remember the name : The shape of things to come <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/confused-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="???" border="0" alt="confused-fix.gif" />

Take all that out and what do you have left ?
By the way, I was borned in 1963, so I am 43.

"Forbidden Planet" isn't that Leslie Nelson's first movie ever ?
I just finished <i>The Adventures of Robin Hood</i> 5 minutes ago. Man, that swordfight in the end. Great stuff. That counts as old, right? 1930's? I think I still like <i>Metropolis</i> more though.
"My Name is Nobody" is quite possibly <i>the best Spaghetti Western of all time</i>. I effing mean it. And it's not even a serious one, it's a comedy. I'm not gonna go into all the points of why it's awesome but...Nobody, the character played by Terence Hill, is supremely awesome.
At this very moment (1am at the office, shhhtttt!) watching "The day the earth stood still".
3:30 am, just finished watching it. I liked it. Wonder if they ever made a remake of it (Hollywood usualy does).
Its a 1951 movie by the way about a humanoid coming to earth to warn us to stop violence otherwise, their intergalactic robot police would obliterate earth !

Try "Forbidden planet" next, if you haven't already seen it. Yes, it stars Leslie Nielson. No, that doesn't take from the movie <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink-fix.gif" />

Well, the movie is made in that kind of hammy 50s style, and Nielson is very young in it ( most don't even recognise him, I certainly didn't the first 2-3 times I watched it ), so it's not like he's making cracks about dingies and beavers.
