I started playing this game back in v1.0 up to when Steam came along and then I stopped playing. I felt that something had been lost with v3.0 and I was saddened to see this conformant change in the game play. I've been PC gaming since 1992, and out of the plethora of games I have played NS was one of the best. I am sure many of you guys have heard this before from various people, but with the emergence of Steam and v3.0 the game was made less. The concept of working together to survive i.e "natural selection" was changed and degraded. The dynamics and rules of the game changed. I am back again to see with high hopes if the community has changed, and the spirit of 2.0 has re-emerged in the current version. I seek something more then a mindless death match and rambo gamers competing for the highest level.

I also wish to apologize for turning down your offer to Beta test NS2. I was burdened with studies at the time and was sorely disappointed that I could not partake in the experience. I have high hopes for NS2 and look forward to playing it.

Regards,

Iridium Ion

Believe me when I say it was painful to turn that offer down... If I wasn't concerned about my college degree I would have accepted without hesitation. Any NS vet will relate to the addictive nature of NS <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />
