my weapon changing is nub, i use a few one touch scripts. +movement is a lot more fluid for leaping so i use that now for leap, but i did used to have one that leapt and changed back to bite. then again i use the arrow keys so i do not recommend all my bad habits <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" />

I doubt it is, I suggest you just hop on IRC and ask around for someone, say in #ANSL on gamesurge or #ENSL on quakenet and I'm sure someone will turn up. Hey, I might do it if I happen to be online and present...
Or, check the "dojo" homepage for scheduled hours and ask someone then.
why cant someone on here just do it.. i dont want to have to download IRC or go screw around on the internet to find the solution to a simple request...
Because it takes some hands-on tutoring, and forums are just a cumbersome way of getting in touch with people who are incapable of making and keeping appointments (ie everyone who knows how to play ns).
<a href="http://www.gamesurge.net/chat" target="_blank">http://www.gamesurge.net/chat</a> - Instant IRC, no screwage required.

To bhop, avoid pressing forward, and instead sidestep left and right while using your mouse movements to exploit the half life engine's side-movement speed cap (which is higher than hl's forward speed cap). In more detail - strafe left, and jump while moving the mouse left, but while midair, turn slightly the opposite direction and reverse the direction of your strafe, then when you hit the ground, continue your turn and strafe right while moving the mouse right, and repeat.
It's difficult to explain in text, which is why most people do it in-game. The following is a very rough example of what it should look like from the top down, the black dots are where you land:
<!--quoteo(post=1629534:date=May 27 2007, 06:52 PM:name=Kassinger)--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Kassinger @ May 27 2007, 06:52 PM) </div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec--> And if you're a skulk, hold down +duck to avoid "sticking" to the floor. <!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
The only reason to hold down duck in 3.2 is to avoid sticking to walls. You no longer need to duck in order to bhop.
To start with it's often a good thing to practice going in circles, that way you don't have to bother with changing directions mid-air and can concentrate on just finding the rythm and feel of the engine.
is it impossible using the arrow key layout?? i dont use WASD... i think it would be easier to use wasd but the problem is ive used the arrow key layout my entire life and when i try to switch to wasd i just can not adjust to it.
No that doesn't matter. Let's see if we can get it to work...
Assume you hear a marine coming to where you are hiding behind a corner, and you go out and jump into him to take him by surprise. You then probably hold forward, the correct strafe key and turn your mouse in the direction you want to go, right? You're then using the same mechanics as when you're bunnyhopping. What you want to do now is to do the same type of movement (with the same goal in mind) only this time don't hold your forward key. The better your timing the greater your speed, or alternatively, the farther you'll get in a single jump.
Bunnyhopping is just an extension of using this very simple move (strafe and turn and jump), with the addition of changing directions mid-air.
Try executing the simple strafe jump until you can feel the speed gain before you start practicing changing directions.
i appreciate the help but i still cant get it, i am a useless fart <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" />
someone is gonna have to show me how in the game i just can not do it, and someone told me that although it is still possible, that the game has code to make it very difficult to do now. i wish i could find that stupid map.... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" />

You've always used an 8 jump script.
alias "jumper" "+jump; wait; -jump; wait"
alias "hop" "jumper; jumper; jumper; jumper; jumper; jumper; jumper; jumper"

EDIT: You need to strafe a little before you make your first jump, to gain speed to use as momentum at the beginning of the maneuver.
And if you're a skulk, hold down +duck to avoid "sticking" to the floor.

any word on that map i mentioned though, the one designed just for teaching the bunnyhop art?
