Mmmmm, Hellsing Ultimate. I'm still convinced that Schrödinger is in a quantum superstate of catgirl-catboy and is thus perfectly hittable.

Holy god, I just watched Gurren Lagann ep 2, and am thoroughly convinced that this series will grow EXPONENTIALLY MORE AWESOME with each episode. Gainax is doin it right once again, FLCL style. At this rate, I may forgive them for Evangelion.

After watching today's episode of Avatar, I'm interested in it.

So they are in a library, but it's about to collapse. One of their party holds the door, to stop it from sinking. But because she's holding the door, the pet camel gets taken away. Then later they find the kidnappers and mr. avatar is ###### off.

It reminds me of Naruto in that everyone has their powers, they are kids, but the main character is crazy strong... And while there is the typical "bad guy" or bad nation, it makes sense in a natural way. I mean, if you were to eradicate all the wolves in a forest, then the deers would get ###### and overpopulate, amirite?

Yes, it's on nick, but I like it.

ADTRW has dropped the series, but Nyoro~n subs are good. I was viewing in VLC and it was all messed up, then I switched to Media Player Classic and it looks great. The fonts and encoding are quite good.

HELLS YEAH, ep 3 sub is already out!! I'll include instructions here, because I didn't know how to do it.

    <a href="http://www.lolikon.org/misc/Tengen_Toppa_Gurren-Lagann_03_eng-sub.######" target="_blank">download this sub</a>
    <a href="http://nyaatorrents.org/?page=torrentinfo&tid=1344" target="_blank">download this torrent</a>

In Media Player Classic, go to view>options>output and set to VMR7 or 9 (renderless), open the avi, and then load subtitle.

edit: just finished EP3, JESUS KURAISTO that was awesome.

Its typical anime fudder but its pretty good in my opinion. Besides the good fights there it some comedy in there and the "bad character" is pretty interesting... as there is no real "bad character" but more like "Uh, well... dunno... and those guys over there... damn... but.. oh.. well.. no... or are they?"

I watched all episodes and I think it was worth the while tbh (also, extremly nice to have a english anime with good voices once in a while. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink-fix.gif" /> ).

Oh, and Planetees, love it. Thanks for the hint!

It's kind of harsh watching (the focus of the story is a hopeless introvert) but it's sooo funny.

I recommend never ever installing k-lite, get CCCP, far better. Particularly if you use MPC/Zoomplayer, both of which are excellent media players. Admittedly I am biased against VLC, just do not like it, so I am not actually sure how CCCP interacts with it. I just know that I have had absolutely no conflicts nor any trouble running any sort of media with CCCP and ONLY CCCP installed, and the included players are so much better than WMP or Winamp for playing movies. Plus it has a really sexy logo, you can't beat that.

Don't watch Gantz, it sucks. The characters are lame, the dialogues are boring as hell and the cliffhangers are just ridiculous. The idea is pretty good, but the rest just plain sucks.

What's wrong with VLC? It's just a minimalist, and highly functional media player... No adds, no crap, it just works, for basically everything ever (ya, that's an exaggeration, but it's infinitely more reliable then any of my other media players).

VLC is pretty buggy on my computer, I don't know why. Media Player Classic is the very definition of minimalist player if you want one.

You never, EVER ###### with my Gurren Lagann subs.

VLC runs buggy on my system as well, when I did try to run it. I would still be using MPC for its minimalist design but I ended up using zoomplayer because I liked it better. Just a few minor things I personally prefer, i.e no menu bar, which works good for a media player.

Also, I got around to watching Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, I must say it was VERY enjoyable. Although it is really easy to see how people get put off by the first episode, pretty risky type of joke episode to have as the first one.

Haha I didn't bother to read any of the past posts, 17 pages...holy cripes. Ok, well I don't visit this site often and I barely read any of the new posts (there's too much!). One thing is certain, I have a craving for anime/manga, it is possibly one of the most addicting things I have ever experienced. I'm asian so some people might say it's natural, but I mean come on! Who wouldn't love animated comedy and violence.

There have probably been a lot of people who have already mentioned a bunch of different anime. I didn't read any of the 17 pages, so I'm probably going to repeat some stuff.

First things first, if you want a good anime experience. Watch Full Metal Alchemist, a mixture of science and violence. There is comedy, but it's mostly focused on the storyline. Many different twists which will make you want to crave more. It starts out in a world that is apparently beside the real world(Earth), you'll find out in the end. But this ain't an ordinary world! You can use Alchemy, but what is alchemy you say? It's a type of science mixed with the magic feeling that uses a drawn circle with the power of the human using it to transmute solid things into something else. For example, you can change a rock into a machine gun. The two main characters are two brothers aged 11 years and 10 years. They don't give much info on their father (I won't ruin it for you), but he left when they were little. The only person they have left is their mother who dies of a sickness. Of course the brothers know alchemy having experienced some moments with their father, who is also an alchemist. The brothers decide to use a forbidden alchemy...bringing someone back to life! They're young and foolish, but they gather the ingredients for a proper human transmutation. What happens? It all goes wrong, ten year old gets sucked in a portal, so the his older brother sacrifices his arm and leg to save his soul and put it in a suit of armor. So one kids soul is stuck in a suit of armor and the other has lost a leg and arm. What happens to them? Well you got to check it out for yourself.

Oh and by the way, the above doesn't happen in the first few episodes. They show the brothers a few years after that incident first and then they show what happened to them in the next few episodes.

Ok well that ends my first anime detailing. I'll probably be posting some more about other anime. Maybe Bleach or Naruto.
