Ever wondered how NS2 would sound like with mario sounds? Well here you go =D.

    Surely I could see this used when mod downloading gets implemented.
    Same goes to you, like all other mappers and modders:
    If you want to have access to our map/mod database, you're very welcome to use it.
    All you need to do is sign up and wait for me to change your membergroup.
    Then go to "Admin", "Downloads", then the "Mods" button to add your mod.

    If you want to make it client side only, a simple way to do this should be to replace the NS2 sounds with their mario counterparts, but keep the names the same. The files the server has for sound are:

    compatability.soundinfo & ns2.soundinfo

    As long as you replace the sounds and keep the original NS2 names, there shouldn't be any hassle doing it clientside only, until consistency checking comes in anyway :)

    Yes :). There are alot of other sounds i want to put in and I will be continuing to do so.
    Some however seem to not want to work atm and probably require more than simply changing the reference line. For example replacing the nanoshield sound with the star invincibility sound.

    I liked the Phasegate/tunnel translation the most :D

    One thing missing: A successful walljump should say "YAHOO" like the triple jump from Mario64

    ..Actually, if you use the Soul Catcher 2000 mod and tweak it, you could probably get a coin animation from all dead players. :D
