Just 1 tab, the forums aren't an interesting enough place to warrant more.

Usually I look for the posts that have been postes since I last logged in. There is a page for this.
    http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/forums/in...amp;CODE=getnew
And on a 2. Tab is the DEV-tracker running.

I occasionally pop in, then read until I come across a thread like this, then leave immediately.

Okay, you're obviously someone who pays great attention to detail and who wants to know more about the people he socialises with online. By way of apology, here's my answer:

I switch on my PC by pressing the power switch (it's on the front near the top; I like that it's there and not at the bottom because my case stands directly on the floor by my desk {couldn't find a picture, but here's a picture I did find when searching for "ikea l-shaped desk", and here's another a picture of some paper trays that I appreciated mainly because they have elegant lines and they appear to be floating without means of support}, so by virtue of the fact the button is at the top, I don't have to stretch to reach it once I'm sitting and the stretching I do have to do when standing is minimised. I enter my password into my PC (which obviously I can't be specific about, but it relates to a computer game; one that I didn't really enjoy that much but which everyone else thought was worthy of a Metacritic score in the nineties). Occasionally, like today, I will open up Chrome and with it the UWE forums (never the UWE homepage, which is why it annoys me that comments threads for new updates - example - don't link back to the original post), but most days I do my browsing on my phone, except for discussion forums as these aren't typically well optimised for mobile browsing and because they also entail lots of page loads, which requires a stronger and more reliable signal than I get on the train or bus to and from work. The UWE forums fall into this category. I maximise my browser to full screen (either by clicking the maximise button of the browser window, or by holding the Windows key and tapping the Up key once; it depends whether or not my left hand is on the mouse) and use the default magnification setting for Windows 7. The native resolution of a screen is the best one to use for performance reasons. My screen's is 1920 x 1080 and I use that. I will typically open links to the Off-Topic and NS2 General Discussion forums, while also scanning the latest posts in the other forums to see if anything piques my interest. Usually this bears no fruit. I will probably browse the NS Mapping forum once NS hits version 1.0, but I don't have interest in making levels until the game design is 'final'. Within OT and NS2GD I open threads with new posts if they: 1. Contain posts I have made previously. 2. Are new and interesting. 3. Appear to be dumb and stupid. I use middle mouse button to open links in new browser tabs and to close browser tabs because it's pro.

You talk about your commute but then you go on to say you do not check discussion boards at this time, the reader is left wondering when you do in fact check them.

Interesting, I find it much easier to drag the window to the top of the screen and let it snap to full screen.

I think you would have a more enjoyable forum reading experience if you were running 1920x1200.

I like how when a thread gets moved to off topic I discover that there are active members of this forum who have thousands of posts and a join date several years old, and I've never once seen them before.

I like to imagine people get that same experience when I post outside off-topic.
