    Looks awesome with the exception of the helmet. It looks like a cross between generic space marine and American Gladiator. The old NS helmet was like an insect carapace almost, which was pretty neat. The new one doesn't look very nice at all.

    Still, love the armor, and the belt-hip-thigh stuff looks great. Don't like the face texture but I bet we'll have more than one of those. Maybe in the future we can have some helmets to choose from so we don't have to look like a reject from Halo ODST?

    Or maybe the female marine will get the nice helmet. She's got it in the concept art :D

    I like the helmet personally. How many different head variations are there going to be or are we going to be dealing with clone soldiers?

    Wow that green armor blends in really nice with the surroundings!!!... those black pants help break up the pattern very effectively instead of a giant green blob :P

    Is that a sniper scope i spy on the smg/carbine? :P

    Btw... that groin armor... is laughable at best. Maybe the tsa marine can slide that larger hip-side-plate over slightly lol.

    I mean... nvm... where's the ass armor! skulks always attack there first!!!

    look really nice all except for the face, something about that black hood thing that covers the cheeks and the shape of the facial features gives him this strange anorexic ape look.
    i think the head would look a great deal more complete however if we could see it with the holographic HUD banner and some self-luminous reflections in the eyes etc.
    PS: being able to choose a face would be a really worthwhile feature IMO.

    Also, this is super nit-picky, but the TSA logo on the breastplate looks like a sticker to me. I would prefer it looking engraved or something. Same goes to the TSA on the helmet.

    hats off to you guys, keep it up :) The poly count is really nice, and the texture work is great... no relying solely upon low-res normal map BS effects, its just straight up human-made art.

    That is something we want to do. Would also reflects the players status. For example, if the player is below a certain health percentage, the color of the hologram would change.

    That doesn't sound like a good idea- part of the strategy of the marines is to be able to bluff. Perhaps if it is a cursory visual cue for immersion on the marine side, but if its visible from any sort of distance it wouldn't be good.

    And the nice thing is, since it's just a game, you aren't going to get a sore hand from playing NS2, unless you are gripping the mouse too tightly and playing for hours and hours on end. Which hopefully you will be when it comes out : )
