why you not show us pictures or conzepts?
Keep it clean.

I realy wonder, why no content shown...no models, no conzepts or anything else... asrifle.gif nerd-fix.gif

    I know modeler, they do good work and they need only a week for a good model (not uvmap and textures)
    SURE it is a hard work to modding(coding, textures, mapping and stuff).
    A good model need a huge time of modeling, of course!
    But we need input smile-fix.gif
    Or conzepts, im sure if they start they had conzepts of the great new or old models...

    At this stage I believe they're only at the planning stages of the game. While they do have a good prototype to start from (NS1) they still have to generate new plans before they even get down to producing anything, including concept art. If you follow the development blog you can see a post by Flayra discussing how they can come up with a visual style for NS2. What they are doing is carefully planning everything so as to reduce the costs involved in making the game. Everything is being considered before they even do any work on NS2 so as to mitigate against making costly mistakes down the road.

    I'm pretty sure what the team is doing is taking incremental steps towards achieving their goal. Before they jump straight ahead to doing concept art they're taking time to try to establish a unique and engaging visual feel for NS2, studying what has already been done, what works and what doesn't. You can't expect them to have something this early, especially when they're in the middle of a product launch over Steam.

    Have faith and patience with the UWE team. In the meantime, enjoy the community or go out and take up knitting or som'n.

    to the OP

    First off, you have to consider the fact that player models these days take very long to develop and then skin. Unless you want the crummy models from NS1 to show up in NS2, I suggest you be patient.

    Second, like the other posters mentioned, this mod was just getting started so you shouldn't be expecting much at this point.

    Third, the team is rather small and they're currently looking for modelers.

    In other words, don't expect too much just yet. The NS2 team isn't exactly part of a big company that has l33t modelers.

    Too many mod teams start out by creating cool renders and sometimes even maps; and not enough time planning the actual mod. The dev team has a lot more important things to do at this stage them to be worrying about making pretty screenshots for us.

    these are some really good original concepts for NS one, you can clearly see the progress i woudl say sevral aliens in th planing stages where exsplained by charlie in a smuch detail that he could then all concept artist went off and drew up designe breifs brought them back say 5 roughs of each alien they could imagine he could of been describeing to him, he then would of went over with the team and picked out the best and most liked aspects of each concept to make the final finished products we run with now

    these are common stages in designing everything, its just going to take a bit of time people, deeper planning means a quiker smoother build for every thing that comes latter, there no stopping and starting people can line up back to back tasks with out haveing to stop to revaluate a new change or a whole new what ever,

    just thinking and planning can save weeks and weeks, let them do there thing
