Part 1 can be found here
Nadair looked deeper into the strangers eyes before him. Its eyes alot thinner than his, seemed to show signs of anger and revenge, death mixed with lust.
"Are you following?" It asked, Nadair stood silently, unsure wether to respond to the thinly built creature. He knew he had never met such a thing, but there were some familiarities between then. Yet his sences showed big differences between their personalities. This creature seemed to enjoy killing, there was no mistake he had killed many of which this gorge had known. He could smell the soulds of the dead on this creature, those he had once known.
Nadair dropped his eyes to the ground "no I want to stay" he whispered, He knew he would be alone, but he was afraid to follow this creature, it could only mean danger and pain. "fine" the creature snapped, turning then quickly running up a wall into a nearby vent, leaving the gorge alone in the hallway.
Nadair sat down and looked about silently, giving a light sigh. Maybe someone would come, he was sure the marines would have called a distress beacon, they should be arriving. Nadair stood up and ran back to where he once slept happily. His skin crawled as he walked toward the dorm he slept in, seeing the poles which covered his master tightly, never to release his frail body. Nadair looked away and walked through the door, seeing his little bed he slowly walked over then curled up into a ball inside the basket.
Nuzzling under the blankets he closed his eyes and tried to forget everything which had happened.
A faint call could be heard, someone was calling, Nadair tried to listen, things were blurred, he could hear a beating. Like a heart, thumping calmly. The voices kept talking, slowly he opened his eyes, The walls bright white blinded him as he looked around, Marines in white coats stood about him and he looked around confused.
"hes stable" a marines said to another, Nadair looked to another marine who nodded and proceeded to pick Nadair up. His hands were stong and firm, Nadair felt like he was floating as the marine raised him to meet into his eyes. Looking back into the marines eyes, Nadair felt safe, a sence of calmness and kindness was found in the marine. "I think hed be perfect for Jonis" The marine finally said as he hugged Nadair close to his chest, The beating of a heart could be heard again, calming the gorge even more to a gentle sleep. He opened his eyes to find himself alone on a bed. Looking about he began to worry, and called out.
"hes awake!" a young voice called, Nadair froze at the high sound, unlike the deep calming voices he had heard before. This had a pitch to it, a boy ran from a door towards Nadair and knelt down. Nadair was in shock with the sudden movements and sat as firm as a rock as he stared up into this little boys eyes. Quickly the boy scooped him up "let go play" he said.
Nadair opened his eyes grimly and looked around, a dream was all it was he seen, a small glimpse of his past, nothing more.. He rolled around his bed trying to get comfortable, grunting and mumbling tiredly, trying to face away from the doorway.
Nadair felt like he was falling and he was plopped onto the floor. The little boy ran a few feet away from him then stopped and turned, holding a ball he rolled it towards Nadair. The ball spun and tapped into Nadairs feet, looking down he sniffed the rubbery thing. It smelt of many things, the ball seemed to have been used alot for it smelt of thousands of different things it had once encountered. "Nadair" the boy called. Nadair opened his eyes and jumped up looking around. Realising he was in his dreams again he sat down and looked glumly out at the door.
The place was dead silent, the only sounds which could be heard were the faint drips of water and the hissing of burst pipes. Nadair stretched and decided to go take a walk, slowly he walked down a different hall, towards the command console. A common place hi smaster would take him to bother the marines in there, they were always good. Nadair used to get alot of treats there too. He passed through the shattered glass doors into the command room. Jumping upon a chair he looked onto the computer tables, studying the messages he read that there was a distress beacon called.
Looking around Nadair studied for anyone left, bodies lay limp and chairs were sprawled about. "Can you build?" a voice grumbled behind him, Nadair jumped and spun around to face.. him? ... Nadair shook his head and looked again.. another him? . The gorge was not impressed with Nadairs actions and snorted "well?" it hissed. Nadair shook his head, hed never known how to built, nor did he ever want to. The gorge grumbled and walked away "your of no use then human lover" it growled. Stunned Nadair stood watching the gorge dissapear into the shadows. Then a mumble could be heard, Nadair turned to a dark corner which a marine lay, he mumbled again. Nadair ran over to the marine and lay his head on the marines legs.
"Nadair" the marine whispered as he weakly lay his arm over the gorges shoulders. Nadair felt a warm happiness come back inside him and he pressed his chin into the marines legs. The marine was injured, but just stable, Nadair could see the wound across his chest, a large gash running through his armour. It was a miracle he survived such a wound..
