One problem or two...?
I realize that it has been stated that there is the obvious resource problem of server admins jacking up the resource incomes, hitpoints of building, etc...
However, its been mentioned that there is a bug that there makes the marines get more resources than they should faster than they should.
My question is are these two separate things, or two descriptions of the same sort of thing?
It would explain a few things, as I find it difficult to believe that there are *that* many server admins that would screw around with the default resources so much, although it's certainly possible. Of course, if this is the case, then why didn't it show up in playtesting?
By the way, this isn't an attack on the PT's or anything else. I know how thorough they were/are, and can't imagine them missing something this big. But what happened to trigger this then? It only happens when non-PT's play it?!
I'm just sad that this happened and has given many people a poor impression of the balance (As they see it) that has been done for the mod.
Anyway, not a big deal, but I was just curious how this came about.
Excellent work on the mod, Devs and PT's, and thanks for all of your hard work. You've got a hit on your hands, but I suspect you knew that!
