To summarise, NSAR is normal NS with the removal of player vs. player combat. That's right, you are not allowed under any circumstances to attack another player with your weapons (including parasite, stomp and other ‘passive’ weapons). At all. No, seriously, stop it. You must instead limit combat to structure vs. structure, structure vs. player, and player vs. structure. If you see a tf going up, you must attack the factory, not the marines building it!
This game type is for fun with small numbers of players – don’t expect balance, or total co-operation on large servers.
You must actively avoid killing other players with weapons. No ‘well you stood in the way of the OC’ nonsense. If you can’t hit a structure because there are marines or gorges standing all around it – tough. They are the ones not doing anything useful. Be especially careful around PGs and IPs.
Similarly to point one, don’t deliberately stand in player’s way.
Xeno and GL must only be used when you are sure no players will be hurt. Failing that, give good warning. Sieges however are acceptable.
Welders and healspray can be used within reason to repair structures under attack, even if there is a slight risk of hitting other players.
Mines and Web can be used or banned depending on the players' choice.
