You better not cry
Well, I'm not good ad posting things like this, but apparently, there's a virus or something that trojans it's way into your computer and steals info on your HL and mainly CS. More info here.

On another note, it seems like they're trying to blame violent games for this(firgures). So.. here's that.

What's that you say? U.S. national news medias using non-sequiturs to create hyperbole and rhetoric?

bah. I'll believe it when I see it.

/me puts aluminum foil hat back on

Honestly, that is just crazy and wrong. Glorify snipers? As much as we glorify dictators (Tropico), Mayors (Diablo) and Amazonian Warriors (Diablo 2). Lets go "glorify" serial killers.

I hate to make light of murders, but they're basically saying he is a real life AWP loving godmode haxor?

Watch the video. I love the connection he draws. "The killer left a card with the words 'I am God.' Police are investigating web sites for violent video games that feature one shot, one kill sniper weapons, where players can enter a code and become God."

That's some investigative reporting. Did anyone here not know that getting shot in the head would kill you before CS? I understand the desire to explain these horrid actions, but this is over the top, methinks.

Yes, we have to divide up our time like that, between our politics and our equations. But to me our equations are far more important, for politics are only a matter of present concern. A mathematical equation stands forever.

I'm surprised they actually used a game released within the last 600 years, it's usually like:

"After playing violent videogames(show video of Mortal Kombat, Spyro the Magic Dragon, Duke Nukem) the murderer realized that if you shoot people with guns they die."

    1. That's what you get for using Microsoft Instant Messenger!

    2. That's ########, but I'm not surprised. Yes, I watched the video. Think about this though; you won't see Natural Selection in the news because some kid brought a gun where he shouldn't have, or because some psycho is using citizens in a suburban area for target practice.

not supprised in the least ...

The second I heard about the sniper I instantly thought that some ignorant ### would blame it on games.

Guess I was right ... go figure.

Obviously, the existence of games is to blame, as opposed to you know, GUNS.

They have to blame something, and video games/movies make easier targets than bad parenting. Can you imgaine the response the public would have they pointed the finger at parents? I wonder.

Well, I would expect a response similar to what they are getting from us now, only from more people. You think it through, and it wouldn't be so much worse on the media. It isn't how much beef they take, but from who. And if the demographic they anger happens to be mostly at that stage where nobody listens to your opinions, then so much the better.

No one ever looks at the parents, or the fact that kids are now raised like sea turtles. They're born and then the parents sit them in front of the TV while they go off and pretend they don't exist. More likely even, the parents themselves can end up feeding the disillusioned, easily manipulated children hateful messages. I doubt the KKK would even exist today if it weren't for nutbag parents. Though, it's highly unlikely you'll ever hear the media say, "This just in, the cause of violence may be due to parents sucking a lot of ###."
