hey i'm a n0b. neway, i'm thinkin that this poll isn't really fair. a lot of the people voting aren't beta testers, i think. so, they haven't played the game. they've read stuff, yeah, but they haven't experienced it yet. the marines
1. are human
and
2. have guns
who hasn't played a game with those two elements before? not a lot of people here have played as the aliens cus they haven't beta tested.

I'd want to play aliens, but i don't know how well I play when it comes to fighting close range. In vampire slayers, I often miss my leap and slash attack whilst playing vampires. However, I'll try both aliens and marines when NS comes out and see which one I like better.

A few years ago, I think 5, I played a quake 2 mod called gloom... it was very addictive and the object of the game was about the same as this one... build a base, destroy the other side. You could play as humans or as aliens, starting with on the human side an engineer or a marine and on the alien side a spider or a drone. Drones could lay eggs to get a building and engineers could build buildings while marines and spiders could gather up kills to buy new weapons or to evolve. The mod is closed now and I can't find it anywhere <img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('> but those were the good ol' quake 2 rulez days <img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'> now all I have to say on this post is.... go marines, we luv ya <img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>
