I wanted to convert something, but rather than having someone ELSE do it, I have it partially de-compiled(I just wanna figure out the v_model for now). It's an old USP replacement for CS, so the animations are quite different. I also have the NS pistol v_hg.mdl decompiled. I've taken a look at the .qc files, and I'm not sure what to do. I think I have to rename most of the animations so that it will only be an unsilenced one, but then theres the matter of the NS model having 2 idles(CS has 1 silenced 1 unsilenced[copy and rename?]) and the CS model having 3 seemingly identical "shoot_unsil" sequences (NS only has 1 "shoot"). I'm thinking of deleting all the silenced animations, and 2 of the "shoot_unsil" ones. Then I could duplicate the idle_unsil smd/entry and rename everything to NS equivalents. I should be able to handle all of the sounds on my own. I'm not sure if this is right, and I'm a little confused as to why each sequence is named twice in its line in the .qc file, is one the smd name and the other the animation name? I hope I'm making sense, help would be appreciated. I hope to alter the skin a little too(style + fixes: trigger guard is completely unskinned and most of the text will probably end up backwards), but that would come later on.
