Save problem

I'm extremely saddened to say that when i was playing subnautica, i progressed very far so of course as every other person would i saved. I saved twice to make sure that this didnt happen again but it did. I saved, turned off the console and went out to do human stuff. When i came back later in the day to play subnautica It left me off ALL THE WAY BACK to where i previeously was BEFORE i saved. Please fix this.
