So after some of the new movies that I've seen recently like Hunger Games and Act of Valor I realized that they were both made by Alliance Films and started checking out what else they've got in their arsenal. Turns out... quite a bit.

http://www.lockoutfilm.com/ - A movie about a high-security prison station that has to be busted into, so the presidents daughter who was visiting can be rescued. Seems Fifth Element'ish but looks like a really cool action movie. (released today)

http://www.discoverthecabininthewoods.com/ - At first it looks like it's along the lines of Evil Dead, but then it's more of a horror-thriller with an unusual twist. Oh, and it's directed by Joss Whedon! (released today)

http://www.HardCoreLogo2.com - Sequel to *Hard Core Logo* (surprise!), a dockumentary/mockumentary about the lead singer of Die Mannequin who claims she is possessed by the spirit of Joe ######, the lead singer of a band called Hard Core Logo. (releases tomorrow)

All in all, they all seem pretty good to me!

Lockout- looks like a good old-fashioned mindless-but-fun movie, will be slated by people on the internet no doubt but I'd like to see it

Cabin in the Woods- seemed to get decent reviews, worth checking out

Hard Core Logo 2 - not heard of it, not my kind of thing

Looper - not heard of it

Total Recall 2012 - did it need a remake? Oh, and f*** you, Colin Farrell. Will have to see it as the original was some awesome B-movie sci-fi cheese!

    Prometheus - yeeessss

    Dark Knight Rises - yeeessss

the remake is closer to the original book material, which was not on mars, and had no mutants in the first place anyways. paul verhoeven, that dirty old man only wanted a reason to justify prostitutes with 3 breasts. " oh..yeah.. they had no radiation shielded large ass glass window..roofs.. you know..soooo.. ..so they mutated"

Prometheus is probably the first Hollywood movie in the last...10 years or something that really got my interest - and only because it's a alien prequel. I think I would actually watch it....

on tv in a few years ;)

Big shame that its PG 13. My expectations used to be high for Prometheus.

I just read this, and now I feel slighted on behalf of one of my favourite movies. This looks like a lame action flick. The Fifth Element was so much more!
