It has not, thank you! I've been waiting for any media coverage released at all from NS2 at PAX.

i guess this is final, the game is coming out this summer. confirmed yet again, but is it end of the summer?

question still stands, how will the performance going to be?

aside from that, I would love to know what computer specs they used at PAX. They said it was alienware, that's all I heard mostly.

    Thanks.

First off it is great that they are all on camera more showing off the game.

A tiny bit of media training would go a long way.

When you talk about the game, smile! It should be like a friend telling his friend about this cool game he just discovered.

Don't focus on reeling off all the facts and features about the game. Tell people why you love making this game and why it's so unique. People like seeing other people enjoy things, and that makes them want to join in.

It would of been nice to see a bit more from them at this event, i know they're not there for our benefit but you'd think we would of gotten some vids and higher quality images to look at, anyway it's good to see there's been a lot of interest at least.

oh stop teasing Cory about looking away. I do the same thing, especially when I'm nervous - and who wouldn't have a pounding heart getting interviewed for the first time on your baby of a game, at friggin' PAX right next to Capcom etc. to boot?

    Thanks for posting this, persian!

I don't hope this! We got around 7 servers that can play NS2 so space for around 100 players, all the others will just get laaag!
Atleast now after PAX the mainfocus needs to be serverperformance, if they don't get it work on standart server hardware with stable 30 ticks, lots of new players gonna be dissapointed.
And I fear the mass of neg. posts that will come soon!

Schimmel has been working while the main devs are at PAX. He did find/fix a lot of things regarding this issue so you'll see an update for it soon.

Don't set yourself up for disappointment. The game may come out this summer, or it may be delayed. That's just how the world works.
This is the kind of thing that goes on behind close doors on normal game releases, where they are optimizing it right up until the end. You guys are just getting to play with a version of the game that normally only the developers see.

You mean these marketing-guys? Whenever someone tries to be naturally enthusiastic about a product he sells I don't trust him at all. Cory never smiles and never makes jokes, why should he play it? Gamers know that devs are nerds and not entertainers, we don't need the CoD-crowd who searches for entertainers and ask their parents if they buy 'em a xbox ;)
    Or do we?

I hate these guys on stages presenting a game, while they obviously are neither gamers nor developers. Just hired people payed to fake enthusiasm...

Nailed it! I can't wait until people know more about the game, and we don't have to dance around what a skulk is, or an Onos.

weekly updates? don't set people up to think things that arent really true... lately weekly has been a bit closer to the truth, but it seems that usually it takes a couple to three weeks to do any significant patch besides +2 fps. not trying to be a ######, just don't wanna misinform everyone.

It's down to crunch time. Performance is a whole different issue. You can't work on performance then implement something that will completely kill it the next patch. They're doing what they can as it's a beta after all.. people need to remember that.

    Nice!

Look at the camera Cory! :P

In my defense the guy pulled out a little hand held device that looked like an audio recorder and asked if I was ok if he recorded my answers. I didn't realize it was a video camera, therefore I was not looking at it but at the tv that was showing gameplay that we were both looking at.

+1 they have explained this millions of times. im sure that when all the features are implemented performance fixes will come much faster.

It's nice to see them covering it, but the G4 article was incredibly poorly written.

The abbreviation for Old Ass Gamers is OAG. OAG is something more then just a word, it makes us gamers understand the passion. The passion that you never want to stop playing video games. That age is just a myth and not even age will stop us.

I too would be nervous but really there's no reason for that. You UWE guys have made a game you can be proud of.

Ugh, I know, right? The writer wasn't inaccurate about the game, but HOW did that guy get in a position to write articles?

That being said, the TryIndie article was a great read!

Nice one Cory, you explained the game very well. I imagined I knew nothing about NS or NS2, and without getting too heavy on the details, you explained the game really well. Can't wait to see all the new arrivals to this brilliant game! Glad you all made PAX and I hope you'll attend many more game conventions to showoff your wonderful game.

    Can't wait for Summer! :D
