Shade Ability

More specifically hallucination
While ###### about as an alien commander the other day i noticed the Shade had an ability line in it called "Phantasim" witch creates hallucinations and as such i only assume it throws out hallucinations in it's facinity.

The menu gave the option to choose any of the 5 aliens so i assume you can make hallucinations of them all.

I was just wondering if the devs or any playtesters would like to remark on the progress of this ability, because frankly i can stop laughing at the though of a bunch of marines walking into a room then ###### their pants unloading on something that isnt even real.

    If you want to try it out, put Dev 1 into console and make a Mature Shade ;)

    Although I suspect it may be changed, since I recall the Phantasm brainstorming in the Design Log a while ago.

    that hallucinate is so creepy/scary/confusing it would be REALLY cool.
    i'd like to see it being more like the "chernobyl dogs" in STALKER - more offensive.
    but this distracting nature of the hallucination is really awesome too...

    Hoho, this could very well be a nice buff to Disorient since it already mimics lifeform attack sounds :P

    That looks too amazing and useful for Aliens to have. Gotta remember, Aliens can't have anything nice.

    Yeah i noticed this.

    Kept hearing the sound a Fade makes when it does the 2 second charge back stab. Would turn around and jump out of the way to find nothing but my fellow marines behind me lol

    That is AMAZING.. Having skulks show up out of no where would keep you on edge all the time and not to mention you would never be too sure that it wasn't a hallucination. The part where the skulk leaped right at the guy had my flinch.

    was that a client side mod or server sdie?

    harder to implement on server side I think?.. will everyone see the same 'hallucination'?

    also.. recall looks like a bit imbalanced lol
    its like marine beacon except can be used individually plus you can go back to original location afterwards :o
