A beta tester for ‘DOTA 2′ hacked the game’s client and dug up potential ‘Half-Life 3′ information regarding weapons.
So the obvious things to talk about are weapons. An ice gun? A flamethrower? Two brand new weapons that could be seen in Half-Life 3? That’s completely acceptable. The more interesting aspects, the “weaponizer†attributes of liquid, concrete, and metal are where the head scratching can commence.
One of the most important tools/weapons Gordon Freeman possessed throughout his exploits in Half-Life 2 was the Gravity Gun, enabling him to turn regular items into devastating weapons. Now will the “Weaponizer†be another tool that allows Freeman to manipulate the physics of objects, turning them into liquid, concrete, or metal? Or will it let players manipulate liquid, concrete, or metal? See? Told you head scratching would be inevitable.
I'm casually optimistic but will also be handing out tinfoil hats for those in need. A weapon manipulating solid and liquid state of materials would be really neat. I've imagined the effects used to make the liquid in Portal 2 could be made into a weapon of sorts. A weapon that hates the human skeleton
A doctor in the Medical Wing with one blank eye beat me to death with a rake, shouting “It’s just... a standard... procedure!,†then made a verbal note of my time of death.
Feel free to correct my English, it's kind of lacking at times.
