    Hello all,

    i'm experiencing some freeze problems in the main menu. If i wait 4-5 seconds in the main menu, the 3D guy suddenly stops moving... and I have to kill the process. More strange, when I decrease cpu frenquency below it's normal value, the game doesn't seem to freeze. I don't have any problems in other games.

    Some of you already experienced this bug ?

    In what world would this make sense? What purpose would that serve? How would you prevent it from being abused? What is wrong with the aliens having a flashlight? What problem does this solve?

    I thought the Alien nightsight mode was wicked btw... I think it's almost absolutely spot-on and perfect.

    One thing I thought though! Was that when you have it on, you can't quite tell if the room is dark or not. So I'm running around with it on and I think I can creep up on my enemy to find that I'm walking around with it in a very bright area...

    I think there should be some sort of indication if you're in a light or dark sort of environment...

    If for instance the effect is placed on top of everything else... then maybe the Alpha/Opacity of the effect should be lessened when it gets lighter...

    So you're in an uber light place and it's as though you have flashlight turned off...
    You wander to somewhere a little darker and it slowly fades in to help you see
    You enter total darkness and your vision is as it is now...

    Maybe this would stop players needing to turn it on/off completely and it could be automatic? Maybe it should be turned on still?

    I'm a left handed player and I have to play with the arrow keys and there aren't that many keys at my disposal so having to turn flashlight on/off continuously to see how light my environment is, is quite dangerous.

    Comments, thoughts?

    I would add that when you are lerk with alien vision I can not see the gas at all and have know idea where it is going or if it is still lingering around I hope there is a way to make it stand out better.
    and when you jump out of the com chair the wepon is all messed up
    I know it a beta and we are THE testers so this in my 2 cents fix only these issues for 165.
    shootgun seems a bit OP

    In part i agree with RTV (except for the "joke" part) and i honestly think this is quiet far from being a real beta because the game seems to be still at alpha status...

    I have played other betas of indie games and i have to say they were almost fully playable and enjoyable while in this case you can barely have an idea of what the final product will be only if you have played NS1...

    I trust in UWE anyway and i hope they will focus more on performances as soon as possible even if not all of them are specialized in that game aspect because i think that's more important than adding new features at this point that you have no way to fully appreciate them with the game running this way :)
