I think the search actually works pretty well if you just search for the video code. I was going to post something and gave it a shot and searched for VxkD_tr0 or whatever and it kicked back the post with the exact video. Since 40% of Youtube channels just relink other videos I guess it's not guaranteed but still...

Well...I'm not a gun freak and I never had any contact with guns (except that one time when I held an ak47 when I was 7). But I did know the basics..that there is a hammer and stuff ;) ... for some reason I thought all the automatics are "recoil-powered"... only in this video I learned that the ak is kind of "pressure-driven"... and the pipe above the main barrel is a gas-duct.
That's how most all automatic rifles work :) A lot of times the gas tube is hidden, for example on the M-16 / M-4 it's underneath the plastic grips (though a small part extends into the A-frame forward sight).
Here's another for you, it's amazing how incredibly simple this one is. In fact, the firing process on a per-barrel basis really has less moving parts than most any other gun... of course, once you get the ammo drum, the feeder, drive assembly, hydraulic system to make it all move, that changes a little, but still, I always thought miniguns were a lot more complicated than this.
